Since you have re-entered the couple and all of their information, why not simply delete them from the data base. After you've deleted them, try running the compact again and see what happens. The program will not let me delete them. If I try to delete, the program crashes. One other oddity. Even though I have changed the man's name from "John Doe"to "no one," it still sorts in the same location under "Doe" Jay Thompson just an old genealogy nut too tough to crack.
