> I am working with autosomal DNA analysis, and I want to use a branch from my FTM2014 tree of our maternal 1st cousin and her ancestors. I exported the branch from FTM, but find that because we share common GPs, my mother and my siblings, children, etc., are all also included. How do I create a properly pruned branch showing only HER line? If you are using FTM 2014's Export Branch, you have what it selects for you. You COULD open the file and remove those who YOU do not wish to include. (This would be easier if you saved as Family Tree Maker format, NOT GEDCOM. If you need the data in GEDCOM because her program cannot read FTM files directly, once you edit the FTM, save it as GEDCOM and be done.) There are other ways to achieve the same purpose, but I suspect the described method will be easiest. John Okerson Lakeland, TN
