    3. Beth, Yes, you want to Register FTM2012 on the New Computer. Yes, you can use both of them. You want to Back Up your FTM2012 files and move them to the New Computer and do a File, Restore. To move between two computers, you can use a Thumb / Flash / USB drive to do  so, or a program like Drop Box. If you know how to use FTM2012 you know how to use FTM2014, but there will be more features that you will have access to. Russ ___________________________ Mailto:rworthington@att.net From: Beth Bowling via <ftm-tech@rootsweb.com> To: ftm-tech@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, March 31, 2015 7:34 PM Subject: [FTM-TECH] FTM on two computers I have my FTM 2012 on a PC desktop and it is not yet on Ancestry.com.  I have just started using a new PC (which is a Brix, amazing!) and am in the process of moving all of my programs and files onto this little jewel.  I have downloaded FTM 2012 onto that machine and now it wants to register that copy.  Is it possible to keep FTM on both machines until I have completely finished the move?  I will not have both open at the same time....but I just want to have the original until I am sure that everything is in proper order and all files have actually moved.    I thought I remembered that you can have two copies as long as only one is open.... I plan to upgrade to 2014 in a few months, but don't want to learn a new program as I am now learning so many new and upgraded programs on the new machine.
