John, Judy just said what I have been trying to say. I just went to Ancestry.com, found an Image I wanted to Save to My computer. It was NOT in Family Tree Maker, but from my Browser, as Judy suggested. When I selected that Image, In the Upper right of my Browser was an bright orange SAVE button. The option was to Save to My Computer. I saw it download to my computer. I found that image on my computer, double clicked on it, and that image opened as expected. Please try that. It may have been with right-click save image. But even that is missing, or when it does appear it saves an empty or corrupted file. I saved the image to shoebox. Shoebox is not described in the FTM Manual. I googled and it seems it is only available on ancesty.com . I went there. Found shoebox at the bottom of the page. I clicked on the record I want to save TO MY COMPUTER. First, I clicked on VIEW. The SAVE button merely offers that it is in my shoebox, and the other option is to SAVE TO PERSON IN MY TREE. This is the ONLINE TREE where it is useless to me. Second, I click on VIEW. There is the image I want to download to A FILE ON MY COMPUTER. I click on SAVE. It offers that it is in my shoebox or I can save it to a person in my tree. No good for me. Then I right-clicked. Save Image As... displays (an is probably the way I got these before). However, Ancestry has done something to prevent the actual image from saving. It is a garbage, empty file. I tried using Firefox and Chrome browsers. Same nonsense. Now, would someone care to tell me where the "Save to Computer" option went, and when it will be back?
