I'm having a senior moment. I'm using FTM 2014 How do I open up the edit sreen that allows me to place descriptive info in a box *before* the Place info. Thanks tom Herson Ithaca, NY

I believe you are talking about the "Place Detail" which allows you to input historical or cemetery information before the Place Name. It allows one to input the information and require it to be in the PNA. You can then resolve the balance of the Place Name. If this is what you are asking, there are two places where you can access this feature. 1. Go to the Place field for any fact on the Tree or Person work areas. Click on the Place field. An icon of a pencil will be displayed. Click on that icon and a dialog box will open allowing you to shift the descriptive information into the Place Detail field and to resolve the remainder of the place name. 2. Alternately, you may go to the Places work area. Select the Place Name from the list. In the right panel, click on the place name and the non-resolved icon with a scroll and question mark will be displayed, Click on the icon and a dialog box opens allowing you to shift the information to the Place detail and resolve the balance of the Place name. If the Place name has previously been resolved, the icon will be a pencil. Hope this helps.
