    3. Russ, Yep, that's where I was looking, and yes, the 2nd note is probably the closer example. So I did that (still a private holding) with just the collection name for the compiler and my owner information in the source. I moved the item name to the Citation Detail, with the year of publication. As I said, that information gets put at the end of the Note, where as the example has that description placed first in the note. What gets created: Bauman Family Collection; privately held by Christine Haws Bauman, Greenwood, Indiana, 2015. HAWS/LISOWSKI wedding invitation, April 1988. I can cut and paste the end portion (highlighted?) to the beginning of the Reference note (and change the period after 1988 to a semi-colon (since there's a comma before April). Any other details (item provenance, etc.) can go in the citation text, and will show up at the end (with the box checked). I guess I'll just have to remember to do that with all my artifacts. It would be much easier if I could just fill out the information in the Source form and have it lay out correctly. Thanks for the feedback, though. What you need to understand is that the Citation DETAIL will help complete the Reference Note go be close to 3.25 and the Reference Note on the top of page 139 That is where you describe what you are looking at. More like the 2nd example Reference Note. You want to Describe that document in the Citation Detail field. You will see the Reference Note updated when you tab out of the Citation Detail field. i use the Citation Text for my own use.
