    3. I have acquired many Family Archive CDs along with a copy of Family Archive Viewer, Ver. 4.0. I am running Windows 7, 64 bit, 10 GB memory and FTM 2014. I am unable to install Family Archive Viewer on my computer. Any suggestions on how I can access these CDs? G. E. "Robbie" Robinson Meridian, ID

    3. Hi Robbie I am sorry to say Family Archive Viewer, Ver. 4.0 will not work with windows 7, it has to be windows vista or lower. It is possible if you were to set up a virtual PC, and then run XP on your virtual PC it will work, as I have done it. But it not sort of thing to do without some IT experience and a fairly big hard drive. Plus copy all the CD into a folder and run that way, the CDs take up about 23Gb but I does run better. 3. Hi, I have many of them too, but haven't even thought about them until your email. Refresh my memory, please. Since they go back to v 4.0 the archives will also have to be "old" so can't remember what's on them. Are they really of any value today? 3. Joannie, Not really because most if not all are Online now, more up to date, and readily available. You might consider donating them to a local genealogy or historical society. I still have many of them, but haven't looked at them in years. but that's just me.
