I have the new FTM 2012 with a rather large database of 67,504 individuals and file size of 151,725 KB after compacting. Almost every time I make a change in my database the index rebuilds and sometimes it gets hung up showing the index in the background with the rebuilding symbol in front. I seem to be able to work while the file is hung up, but I don't think I can search the file while it is shuffling. Is there anything I can do to stop the shuffling without shutting FTM down and starting all over? This new FTM 2012 seems quicker in some ways like shutting down and moving from one individual to another but the file gets hung up more often. When I open it, it still takes close to five minutes for the file to rebuild. Any suggestions or help? Susan -- --- Susan C.
