    3. In theory things changed with FTM2011 in that the changes were supposed to remain after closing and restarting. Tara Pedersen wrote the Blog article extolling the virtues to be met with a deluge of responses that it didn't work and said she was going to look into it and report back what she discovered. The response is still awaited. Having looked at the way it puts together the list it seemed to me that rather than record the last 200 names to be edited, it recorded the last 200 edits. In theory you might have at the most extreme only one name, but most likely somewhere in the middle. 3. I don't use the History feature all that much but yesterday I tested it in FTM 2011. I made a change to an individual by adding a new act and inputting a date. I then deleted the fact. The FTM 2011 history recorded the following three events. Added the fact, Changed the fact and Deleted the fact. I then closed the file and reopened it. I checked the individual and the changes had been made and retained. Next I checked the history for the individual and the history records were missing; so closing and reopening the file removes the history records. I suspect that Tana did look into it and found it was not working. By this time they were probably planning for the new version, FTM 2012. While this may not be too comforting to those who intend to stay with FTM 2011, I did test it in my new copy of FTM 2012 and the history records are being retained after the file is closed and reopened. Unfortunately there is still a minor problem concerning the Date/Time stamp. When you make a change to an individual's fact, the change is identified and the date and time of the change is recorded. This seems to be accurate; however, after the file is closed and reopened, the date/time stamp is changed dramatically. The date/time stamp seems to be changed each time you close and reopen the file. Hope this helps those who are interested in the history feature.
