John - don't worry. I always delete the old tree. I have relatives that have five and six trees that are so old, outdated, full of incorrect information, but they refuse to delete them for some odd reason. It involves uploading trees. How often should we upload a new tree OR is there a way to simply upload the additions, edits, etc.? I understand that I can make changes to my tree in FTM but I also upload it to Ancestry. I don't have the extra time to make changes in two places, one online and one on my desktop. I don't care to have several trees online so what I've been doing is deleting my old tree and then uploading a new tree. I wondered if uploading a new tree using the same name would overwrite an existing tree.
