manually entered the information with Est birth year. I do not merge information from Ancestry because I don't want misspellings of names. If you have birth year for 6 children (estimated or Actual) adding a name from a census ten years later with estimated date of birth, should not put that child back after the second or third child from the census ten years earlier. Never happened to me in 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010 or 2011. in a message dated 10/24/2011 8:02:21 P.M. Jay Thompson just an old genealogy nut too tough to crack. ________________________________ From: "Chasgustaf@aol.com" <Chasgustaf@aol.com> To: ftm-tech@rootsweb.com Sent: Mon, October 24, 2011 7:44:40 PM Subject: Re: [FTM-TECH] New entries not in date order In a message dated 10/24/2011 7:08:05 P.M. If you have SIX children listed and a new child is on a subsequent census, FTM 2012 puts that new child in the middle of the pack, NOT at the BOTTOM. ********************************** List information page http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/other/Software/FTM-TECH.html Online Support for Family Tree Maker Version 16 and earlier http://pastftm.custhelp.com/ Version 2008 - 2011 http://ftm.custhelp.com/ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to FTM-TECH-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message ********************************** List information page http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/other/Software/FTM-TECH.html Online Support for Family Tree Maker Version 16 and earlier http://pastftm.custhelp.com/ Version 2008 - 2011 http://ftm.custhelp.com/ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to FTM-TECH-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
