Another way to do the change if you want to change a fact name for a specific individual. *Right click on the fact you want to change *Select Fact Data Options * You will get a window advising you to back-up your file. I don't unless I'm doing a global change of a fact name * You will get a window showing all the facts for that person with the same name. You can pick one, some or all to change to the new name which can be selected from a drop-down box. * You can also choose to change that fact name for all individuals here. I use this extensively when I download census info from Ancestry. Ancestry wants to call this fact a 'residence'; I want it to be 'census'. After the download, I immediately change the 'residence' fact to a 'census' fact. I don't do a global change because not all residence facts are census.
