OK, that I understand. I have had resolved, but non-standard place names show the flag for not resolved for a few seconds, but then the flag disappears. The problem is although Jay has resolved the place name in use, when he selects that place name for future use, it is input as a non-resolved place name. This should not be. I have tested it and cannot duplicate Jay's problem. If the Place name is resolved, you do not have to delete the USA. For Resolved Place names, the USA can be controlled by the Tools/Options/"Names/Dates/Places"/Place options. If you have that option set to on, only the non-resolved place names would show the USA. BJ
