BJ -I'm concerned about what I've just read. -Do I understand that I cannot create a GEDCOM from FTM 2012 - ever? -What if I've already installed FTM 2012 and am working there with my main file and do not want to upload my file to Ancestry and because I cannot go back to FTM 2011 to make a GEDCOM then I am stuck. -It appears that my freedom of choice has gone. -Please tell me I am mistaken. You have the option to Upload your file and Link your PC file to it (this is called Syncing) or you have the option to upload your file without linking it to your PC file. But in both cases, everything in your file is uploaded including any notes. BJ
