There is an easy way to get rid of notes. 1) Make a copy of the GEDCOM 2) Open the COPY in Notepad or another TEXT EDITOR(not a word processing program). 3) Use Find/Replace and find "1 Note" ( without quotes) , leave the Replace with blank, click Replace ALL. 4) Save file as a text file with the name "NoNotes.ged".
