Yes, I also had this problem. I tried for an entire year to get my 2011 to work on my Vista computer with no luck. I tried reinstalling many times and tried everyone's suggestions. The disc ran fine on my XP laptop and another XP desktop. I just got 2012 a few weeks ago and it works fine on my Vista.
