I am not sure what program you are using, but FTM 2005 and all those before would sort them in chronological order when you chose the sort children button. The only time they show in family order is when you first add the next spouse. Once you are done with that and chose to sort them it is always chronological. That's not so. I wish it were. Aside from the redundancy of using both chronologically and birth order in the same sentence, the children seem to be displayed as follows: First: Children born of the parents whose view is being displayed, in birth order(chronologically ;-) Next: Other children of the father in the view being displayed, in birth order Next: Other children of the wife in the view being displayed. The one thing in the above Note that is true is that you cannot change the sort order of children in the blended view. I wish we could. Comments?
