    3. Actually I was trying to point to the Media in the second line. Interestingly, I just tried it again and the Paste option is dimmed. I'm not sure what is going on. I can paste the image in the clipboard into an email message so I know it is there. BJ On 11/30/2011 7:13 PM, John Okerson wrote: > I mean you click the Media option in the tool bar. 3. I have had the same experience as BJ. I've now tried this on three separate occasions and have only been able to paste on one of them. The steps I took were identical each time. On each occasion I was able to paste the image into Irfan View, so it was definitely in the Clipboard. I'm wondering whether this is a manifestation of a wider issue concerning FTM's interaction with the Windows Clipboard. In FTM 2011 I had a problem when trying to paste text which I had copied outside of FTM (from my browser, for example) into source citations. The problem occurred when I had previously used the Copy function within FTM to copy a source citation. Then, when I opened a source citation and tried to paste text from the Clipboard, the previously copied source citation would be pasted instead. The solution was to open the source citation in FTM first and only then to copy the text from my browser or wherever into the Windows Clipboard. It was really annoying because, in the excitement of research, I regularly forgot to do that. I mentioned the problem in comments on Ancestry's FTM blog and various other people confirmed that they had the same issue. I am not sure whether this problem with source citations still exists in FTM 2012. I will try it and report back.
