    3. Tom Herson's problem with Preferred facts brings to mind a problem that I foresee happening when I post my tree to Ancestry. What I'm referring to are facts in the panel on the right side of the Family work space. I have added 'Witnesses, Divorce, E'mail, and Descriptions for Birth, Baptism, Witness/Godparents, Death, Burial. >From what I have read so far, these may not sync neatly. I'm quite satisfied how I have set up that panel and have no wish to change it but when and if I post to Ancestry I will run into problems. Ali

My guess is that the concern is how the online tree will look, am I right? I have seen what looks 'pretty' on Ancestry.com but looks very jumbled in Family Tree Maker. While I am quite willing to share connections, I do NOT share sources nor the great majority of my Facts. To get my file to this 'condition' requires considerable maneuvering, and probably is of no interest to most. If anyone wants details, feel free to ask - it is NOT a secret. At the same time, I admit to like having my tree synched to Ancestry.com so that it would be available to me at any place or time. If I were you, I would make my tree work as you wish on your computer, period! Just my two cents worth! John Okerson Memphis, TN
