I'm using Family Tree Maker 2012 with Vista Home Premium. I just noticed that the Date is not showing in reports for Facts name Baptised and Occupation, and probably others. Anyone else experiencing this and how can it be fixed. Tom Herson Ithaca, NY
The FTM 2008 and later versions allow the user to control which fields are displayed for each fact. Some such as the ones you mentioned tend to have the Date and in some instances the Place field hidden. To change the options, you need to 1. Go to the People work area 2. Click Edit in the menu bar 3. Click Manage Facts 4. Click Properties - The Fact Properties dialog box opens 5. Select the combination of fields to be displayed. I tend to show all three for all facts. 6. Check the Fact Sentence to ensure it reads the way you would like and includes the fields you want reported. The only places that this sentence seems to be used is in the Genealogy Reports and perhaps the Smart Stories. 7. Click OK. The fields should now show in your People work area. Hope that helps.
