I use PNA, and lots of others here will offer suggestions as well. Remember, PNA is a recommendation, not a slavish rule. If you are moving from FTM 16, then you probably have Descriptions in the same field as the Place Name. I think all of those will have to be evaluated and resolved manually. The 'automatic' resolution in the Places Tab won't handle those very well. Don't understand your question about married couple. Give us an example.
