    3. Tom, Your welcome! Happy to be of help. I think that the value is having the ability to view and even edit your online AMT when away from home on a research trip or even when visiting relatives and you happen to find out some information about an ancestor. I know that the iDevice App allows editing so I would assume that they intend to include that as well for the Android. In any event, I can say that I would just be happy to be able to view my tree when I am at a library or other location where I conduct research. In the past I have taken a copy of the Index to my tree but that has very limited uses when you cannot see the family relationships. This tool would allow that ability and that to me could be quite useful.... if I ever were to get any type of Smart phone. :) Hopefully sometime. Once more functionality is added to the app it will be useful to any FTM 2012 users who are using the sync feature and have an Android. Make a change in your AMT from your tablet or phone and then when you open FTM, you can sync those changes to your FTM file. Thanks for the link! I just played around with my tree via the Ancestry web site, using my Motorola Xoom tablet. I was able to view Sources, Notes and other things and I could enlarge the contents of the screen by tapping twice/ I'm, not sure of what value this new app is. 3. You can view your Ancestry Family Tree by going to the web site on your tablet or phone. You can look at it in your library or show it to relatives. The Tree on the internet has and probably always will have less information than is in your tree on the Ancestry web site. The App has even less information. I'm not complaining about the app, I'm just curious what the advantahe is. So far, no one has pointed anything out. An app like the Android one allows someone with phone service to connect to the Internet, and thus to their tree. One could enter a url for Ancestry.com and navigate to one's tree there, but the app seems a simpler way to get there IMHO. Better? I am a notebook PC user who usually treads in spots where Ethernet or WiFi connections are available. I see little use for me, but can foresee it for those who are not so inclined.
