I just download and looked at the Beta version of the new Ancresty Androin App. It uses the Ancestry Tree rather than the Family Tree Maker Tree. So it's not really what I'm looking for, A big problem is the size of the text in the Family and Info boxes, especially the description field. Most Android apps allow enlargin text, etc. by putting two fingers on the screen and moving them apart to enlarge and moving them together to decrease the size of the things on the screen. Not using this feature is a REAL problem, especially with the miniscule size of the text. If Notes and Sources are available, I didn't see how to get at them. Tom Herson Ithaca, NY
Tom, Since it's a Beta version, most likely not all functionality has been added to the App. I would suggest providing your observations as feedback to Ancestry. Here is an address that seems to be the one where comments, etc., can be sent androidteam@ancestry.com. Linda, I just sent my suggestions to Ancestry. Thanks for the link! I just played around with my tree via the Ancestry web site, using my Motorola Xoom tablet. I was able to view Sources, Notes and other things and I could enlarge the contents of the screen by tapping twice/ I'm, not sure of what value this new app is.
