    2. Can solve it by using IE8 or FireFox. IE9 causes the script error for some reason. In a message dated 8/9/2011 11:06:38 A.M. 3. I use FireFox 5.0 and also get the script error. Most of them have to do with a parameter dealing with the height not being present. While they can be annoying, they tend to come and go and I'm not sure what corrects the problem. Someone wanted to know which browser FTM will use. It is suppose to use your default browser; however, there are occasions when I click something and it automatically opens the IE browser. 3. As I understand it, the browser part of FTM is always IE, and by implication in the Mac version, Safari. It matters not what else you have installed. If like me you use a browser for interfacing with Ancestry and not FTM then the recommended versions of IE and Firefox are 7 and 3.6 respectively and FF 3.6 for Mac. IE8 although listed is not free from issues. Knowledge Base answer 469 last updated yesterday. 3. Chrome doesn't work; I still get the errors every time I try to view an image thru FTM 2011. I answer yes each time and keep going so it doesn't prohibit the program from working. It just tends to become time consuming after the 4th or 5th time. 3. Actually, I periodically get the error using IE8, too. I uninstalled IE9, and most of the time it works fine, but every so often something will happen and I get the script error and, at the same time, lose the ability to scroll with my mouse. (I can still "scroll" using the up and down arrow keys.) Closing and reopening FTM gets rid of the problem, but that's not exactly a solution. How do you use a different web browser in FTM? I've never seen an option to switch away from IE.
