> I am using FTM v. 16 on the XP partition on my Mac OSX10.6.8. I cannot seem to incorporate diacriticals in the program. I am generally unhappy with FTM v.16 because it does not allow two windows to be open at the same time. Am I missing something here that I can set up to make those changes within FTM? I do not use a Mac, but do use FTM 16. Under Windows XP or Windows 7, you can have two different FILES open, NOT two different windows! There is no configuration requirement on your part to do this, it is just there already. If you truly NEED to have two windows of the identical file open, you could copy the first file with a different name and then open it. Technically they are different databases, but YOU would need to exercise considerable care to make sure that ALL of the changes you make are on the ONE file you started with, or risk loosing your data between having two very similar files. Does this resolve your issue??? As for diacriticals, do you mean importing a file that already contains them? Under Windows, they aren't a problem either. Windows 7 has a very useful program called Character Map that makes adding them fairly easy. John Okerson Memphis, TN
