    3. Daryl, You need to right click the additional file and select "Open in new window". I just had 5 different files open at the same time. I have a file open. On the Plan work area, I select a second file and select in a New Window. I see the program initialization dialog window. Eventually, a new FTM 2012 window opens showing the desired file. Is this how you are attempting to open the second file? If you are attempting to open by double clicking on the file name, you may have a problem. I had to reinstall FTM 2011 after I had installed FTM 2012. This caused the Windows file to be associated with FTM 2011. So when I attempt to open a FTM 2012 file, FTM 2011 is opened but doesn't recognize the file. So it offers to create a new tree. I'm running FTM 2012 build 388 under Windows 7 Pro on a 32-bit machine.
