    3. John, I use 2 high res 24" screens side by side and set windows to extend the desktop across both screens. Works great for me - plenty of "Real estate" to have 2 copies of FTM running or FTM and a photo editing program or very wide hour glass charts, etc. Tom -----Original Message----- From: John Okerson Sent: Thursday, September 22, 2011 8:35 PM To: ftm-tech@rootsweb.com Subject: [FTM-TECH] Text Size and resolution in Windows 7 > Eventually I found a 32 inch TV for less than $300. While it has a PC > video connection, it has 2 HDMI connections. Does anyone here use a really high resolution monitor? I have a 24" wide LCD flat screen with DVI by SOYO. It supports 1900 x 1200 which is quite suitable, for now. My video card is a MSI R6950 which has an AMD Radeon™ HD 6950 with 2 GB of GDDR5 RAM and is equipped with 2 Mini Display Ports, HDMI and 2 DVI. It has other features, but the important part is I would like to be able to connect to something like my wife's iMac 27" screen which has a widescreen TFT active-matrix display with 2560 by 1440 pixels, millions of colors and IPS technology. I could loose the 16:10 display I have now in exchange for the MUCH higher pixel count I believe. Anyone doing anything extreme like this in this list? Suggestions? ********************************** List information page http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/other/Software/FTM-TECH.html Online Support for Family Tree Maker Version 16 and earlier http://pastftm.custhelp.com/ Version 2008 - 2011 http://ftm.custhelp.com/ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to FTM-TECH-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
