This product only should be beta. After I obtained the latest patches, I redid the migration from Windows using their utility. I had a 8 GB ftmd file. FTM Mac 2 would no unpack. I had to resize the images and make the ftmd file smaller. After I did the migration, I copied the original sized images on top of the newly imported ftm mac 2 tree. Then as a test, I tried to perform a backup. It hung with malloc errors in /var/log/. Then I tried to merge one person, detach previous parents, and then merge a birth record. If I followed the new parents, I found the merged person. But after I selected the merged the person, the link to the new parents was not displayed even though I could list them in detach/attach. The first 2 things I tried to do with the latest patches did not work. At least now, if I loose wifi or ethernet connection, it does not crash. If the developers who are working on this product are interested, I can provide files etc via dropbox. But, I am not going through the support center and spending hours on each item. Not worth it.
