I have been building my tree(s) for about 3 years now on Ancestry.com. I feel I've pretty much exhausted most of the information gleanable and was thinking I would save myself some money and buy software for my Mac and cancel my subscription as I'm not adding much that's new. Some months I don't have any time to be searching, but am still paying my subscription. I realize this is a new software release (FTM Mac 2) and reviews and bugs are forthcoming. I have no experience with FTM (either platform) nor Reunion, MacFamilyTree or any of the others. 1. Can I upload my tree(s) from Ancestry to the software I would purchase/install on my Mac? Is this what is meant by "synching?" 2. If so, would my information be a mirror image of what I currently have built in my Ancestry trees? 3. Is there any place to view a demo of what that would look like? I'm so used to using Ancestry and FamilySearch. Trying to make a decision. Thank you!
