You said: "As FTM for mac doesn't have a sync facility", in fact the FTMM-2 DOES have the TreeSyncT feature. If you do a web merge 3 or 4 times on the same record, you will see that record 3 or 4 times. However, if you follow the hints, or do a web search for the same person, that record should not be presented to you again. The only way that you will get multiple copies, if you create them / merged. During the Web Merge process, you will he offered the choices. I think that is what you were trying to explain.
