    3. Hi Tim The message to which you're replying came from the matching message board which is "gatewayed" to this list. It's doubtful that the poster is also subscribed to this list. To ensure he receives your message, please click on or copy and paste into your browser the URL included in the gatewayed message (http://boards.rootsweb.com/topics.software.ftmmac/116/mb.ashx) and post on the board. The gateway only works one way, from the board to the list. Messages sent to gc-gateway@rootsweb.com disappear into cyberspace as that email address cannot receive mail. Are Rootsweb trying to kill off the mailing lists? Or is it Ancestry that is trying to kill them off? This issue should be raised withoever makes the policies on Rootsweb or on Ancestry as a two-way gateway is perfectly easy, as is shown in the gateway between the Rootsweb mailing lists and the Newsgroups for (at least) Medieval and British genealogy. regards, -- Tim Powys-Lybbe tim@powys.org for a miscellany of bygones: http://powys.org/
