I just couldn't stand it. In VMWare, FTM/Win is significantly slower than FTM/Mac--at least on my Mac. Plus, I really like the interface on the Mac version better than the Windows version. As I tried to use the Windows version, I kept being reminded of why I quite using Windows way back in 1998. I liked being able to merge duplicate facts in the Windows version, but for my purposes, that was the only real advantage. I realize that the Mac version is not where it should be yet, but I only have about 750 people on my tree right now, and I've only had it stop synching once (for which I just redownloaded). Hopefully, they will continue to improve the Mac version if enough of us are using it. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
