When I merge census records from Ancestry I always go in and unlink the sex fact from the sources. When I go back to the persons page, the fact number is decreased, but the media number remains the same. If I mess with Burial notes at all, the numbers will increase or decrease with every time I enter and leave the field. See the attached screen shot. There is surely a lot of work to be done there.
