In the Gallery in your AMT, you onlY see Blue Box and Magnifying Glass? You should see the SAME Images / Media files in BOTH places. The Media Workspace in in FTMM-2, vs Gallery in your AMT (Ancestry Member tree), and the number of Media files on your Mac, will be at the very bottom of the Center Panel of FTMM-2. Some of the blue question marks on picture turned back into pictures (whew), but my profile pictures have become "untied" again, that is everyone reverted to the blue/pink standard profile, even though pictures had been set up to be used as primary instances it doesn't look like any are now. Sure would like to use FTM, what little was there is gone again. Actually it says e media items, one is a blue box, one a magnifying glass, just two. Author: Kitty3245 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/topics.software.ftmmac/125.1.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Russ, I opened FTM and it offered an update to version 2 21.2.1.379.2, I updated, went to total sync, it closed unexpectedly, said it would send report, I reopened, said it was not closed properly, need to compact, I was ready to do so but it went to start to sync which I cancelled, went to Tools, compact (media 2461) noted "successful, reduced by 0.00%". Selected sync now, 104 conflicts, I went through these and there were no conflicts but a couple of minor ones, went to sync, quit unexpectedly, reopened, instead of manually going through supposed conflicts I selected to have Ancestry.com overwrite conflicts rather than manual or FTM, .... updating (total sync progress), "uploading changes from FTM to Ancestry", "successful", 2 blue media indicators showing media sync, when those stopped it showed "on line access in-sync" "On line & local trees are in sync", green checkmark top right hand column. However it only retrieved ten or so media items to FTM and I spot checked a! nd this time AMT tree shows blue question marks on some photos etc. I have spent 24/7 the past 8 months working on this and I am NOT a happy camper. The Bar in the upper right of each screen, and, and probably more important is in the Plan Workspace, on the right, near the top, where the Online Status and link to your Ancestry Member Tree (AMT) is located. It will say Media Complete. The Upload and Download (Sync process) is in two steps. The data from your file, and it is obvious, but then the Media is handled in the background. Sync seemed to work ok initially. Next sync media on FTM gone. Added some media to AMT and it appeared later in FTM (older media still not in FTM).  Next sync media all gone again on FTM.  The most worrisome part is media on AMT.   I don't know if any was deleted by syncing, but changes were definetly made by the sync, not me - i.e., photos aren't showing they way they were set up (a lot of photos were unlinked as profile picture, if that is the correct term).  I am now afraid to use either system after reading posts about media scrambles and all the other issues.
