Hopefully someone in management is, but even if they aren't, they should be aware of the problems, because I sent them to their Executive Office, who responded, "We have forwarded your suggestions to our developers for further review and consideration. In regards to the customer service received, we have forwarded your email to their managers for further review and evaluation." So hopefully they'll get the bugs worked out soon. I'll follow up on your suggestions. Too bad Ftmm does not do what it is supposed to do, doesn't seem too much to ask. When I talk to the support teams they are nice, helpful about sending emails to tell me how to......except it is always remove and reinstall....give me a break...AND none that I have spoken to have even looked at the message board. I thought I did my homework on looking for the best program since I am new to Apple products but am finding that software first built on pc framework may not transition well. Any recommendation for a product? I noticed you mention Reunion. Since FTMM is the only one I have used I am game...would like one that does not crash a lot, and has the capability for stories, photos, reports etc. And like you, the pros you mention on FTMM are good but a lot of cons. Maybe all the good programs also have those features, but seems the MAC field may be limited. Thanks for your help. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I was able to get the migration to complete but the resulting file was not able to be opened. I worked extensively with tech support to try to fix the issue. As I recall, the utility that was online was actually an older version than what was bundled with the software. My process did complete so I don't know if I can be of any help to you. Seems to me the issue I had was with the media files. Good Luck, Howard Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. The utility that came with it did not work so I tried the one that FTM has posted in their help section. That one didn't work either. Any ideas? HJC did you get the utility to work? It definitely works with FTMM2. As released, it did not convert from 2012 to FTMM2, but would do so from 2011 to FTMM2. If you have a 2012 file you need to first save it as 2011 then convert to FTMM2. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. The utility appears to be working and then gets hung up at the end while completing the task: "Inserting 0 rows into TaskCategoryRel table ..." It's been stuck there for hours and I've tried it multiple times with both the ftm and ftmb files, same problem with both. I see others with this problem when I google, but no solutions. Anyone have any ideas or success? Thanks Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have to echo your comments on the 'support'. My purchase and use of this is because - if the features worked - this software has features that no other competitor has. However its becoemign a real confidence issue for me. So many bugs and no sense of any urgency about support. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
