I am researching the FRYER family in the UK. The earliest records I have relate to Henry George FRYER (b. Gosport in 1832, d. 1905). One of his sons, James Eugene FRYER (b. Southampton, 1861) was my grandfather. His son, also James Eugene (b. Penzance 1899, d. 1985) was my father. I am particulary interested in finding any information on Henry W G FRYER (b. Southampton, 1855), who went to South Africa during the gold rush. I can find no further record of him and do not know if he remained there or ever came back to the UK.
