However, I am a descendant of John Fryer, Elizabeth's oldest brother. Elizabeth is the 6th and last child of Richard Fryer and Elizabeth ?. I have not been able to find the birthplace of Richard or the last name of his wife, Elizabeth. I do know that they lived in Calvert County, MD and all of their children were born there. Richard died Dec. 1745 in Calvert County, MD. Children were John Fryer b. About 1720 in Maryland - married Mary - Died about 1778 in Montgomery County, MD. Mary Fryer - married Thomas? George Fryer - married Mary Merrill on 22 May, 1743 in All Saints Parish - Frederick County, MD Anne Fryer William Fryer Elizabeth Fryer - married Edward Northcraft About 1739 - Edward died in 1766. married James Hook in 1767 The children of Elizabeth and Edward Northcraft were: Richard - married Verlinda Ford Edward Susanna Frances married William Trail Ann Mary Ann married James Trail The will of Richard Fryer mentions a bequest as follows: "I give and Bequeath unto my four Children named William Fryer, John Fryer, Elizabeth Norcroft and Anne Fryer the aforesaid negro moll and her Children if she should has any to be Equally Divided between them after my wife's Decease." I have other information on Richard Fryer if you have an interest in it along with a transcript of the will and an accounting of his estate. Hi Donna; Any possibility that you would know of a Mary E. FRYER? She married my Ggrandfather in Quincy, Ill. on Sep. 16,1866. I suspect that she was born ca 1843, Area not known. She died about 1880 in Pike Co. but I do not know the State. I figure Ill. because it is just south of Quincy. I got the death info from my Ggrandfathers pension papers. They had three children which all three were said to have been born in Ill. and if this is so the youngest was said to have been born in Payson, Ill. which is in Pike Co., Ill.. My Ggrandfathers name was Joseph Thomas BABB or Thomas Joseph BABB as I have found it both ways. He was supposed to have been born in Chester Co., Pa But I have never found his parents. The Ill. roster says that he came from Ohio (no county Given) and that he was a farmer. As you can see there are a great many questions to be answered about this family. I know he bought property in 1870 in Carroll county, Mo.. I also know that he lived in that area till approx 1900 when He moved to Tulsa, Okla.. I know that he was a Constable in Carrollton during that time frame. For sure in 1885. Any help on this family would be greatly appreciated.
