He married Nancy Puckett on 01/18/1821. The bondsman was Douglass Puckett. Alfred and Nancy had numerous children. Their son, John, was listed in the 1850 census as the next house down. John married Lenora Unknown. John and Lenora had a daughter Nancy Elizabeth who married James Buchanon Benton. James and Nancy had a daughter Lenora E who married John A Webster. John and Lenora had a daughter Zoe Irene who married Joseph Lemuel Poore. The were my grandparents.

I am looking for 4 Fryers born to Reuben and Catherine (Van Dyck) Fryer. They would be born between 1820 and 1830. There were 12 children in The Fryer family, 3 born before 1820 and 5 after 1830. I have one girl born before 1820 and the four between '20 and '30 I have not accounted for. In 1846 the family moved to Jefferson or Walworth Co. WI. In Reuben's obituary it said he was survived by 11 of his 12 children. Most of Reuben's children were born in Schnectady NY. Does this fit in with your family? There was also an Issac Fryer living in Walworth Co. Wi in1880 at age 62. I have not made a connection between Reuben and Isaac.

I found a christening for a son in Otley, Yorks in 1807. George Harrison Fryer who married Jane Penn in Bermondsey, Surrey. My husband's ancestor is William Henry Fryer, b Dec, 25, 1816 but christened Aug 3, 1840. He married Georgiana Wright in London. She was born in Bermondsey. A sister, Margaret Fryer, was born Sept 12, 1814 but also christened as an adult at the same church as William Henry. George's occupation as banker is listed on the baptismal records. Does anyone connect? I can't get back further than this since I've never found George and Mary on any census records and have no idea when and where they died. Thanks, Catherine
