Hello All! As I am sure you already know, the kids are back in school and there are lots of holidays comming up. This is a great time to get back into the swing hanging from your proverbial Genealogical Family Tree! What better way then to start posting to the list again? Even if you have sent the information that you have or are looking for before, post it again! There are so many new people joining every day that you never know just who is going to see that particular post and say HEY!, thats the person/ people I am looking for! Then what you have done is to meet a new cousin and wouldnt it be wonderful to have someone else to send a gift to at the holidays? If you were told stories about members of your family, post them, you never know when someone will say, hey I had family in that area, or maybe they can look back and remember that they were told that same exact story. Sometimes stories can bring people together when they dont even know the names of the ancestors that they are looking for. Dates, Places, Times, all of this can bring families together from long ago. For instance..You may be looking for Jane Doe from Statesville in 1864, but the next person is looking for John Deer from Statesville in 1864. Now in 1864 Statesville was a tiny town of 80 settlers, but Jane Doe and John Deer are related by being brother and sister becuase Jane had to change her name when she married Harry Doe 2 years earlier....get it???? We hope to hear your stories of Jane, John and Harry Whoever or just to see you ask if anyone else knew them!
