Dear Fellow Subscriber, I am looking for a man called Frohlich who, so the family tradition has it, came over to England from Cassel, Hesse, Germany in 1839/40 as part of the entourage of Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha (places, I note from the map, are as near as Paris is to Versailles) to marry Queen Victoria. I do not know the Christian names of this Frohlich, but suspect they were HEINRICH or WILHELM or both, that according to one source was a riding master and according to my mother was a masterbaker. I have written to Windsor Castle, but anybody else can offer anything, it would be most welcome. And if anyone can offer that much, he might know much more which should be worth a night out any time!! Arthur Brown
