    1. FROELICH - OHIO
    2. Hi List, Researching my family has led me to the Froelich name. It begans as such: Mary Anna Heider married Henry N. Froelich (we believe in Ohio). They were marrie din 1868. While continuing my research, I found that Mary Anna's brother Levi had had a child indentured to him from the Children's Home Society in Tuscarawas, OH. The child was Robert Froelich. There begins a mystery. I have narrowed it down (based on dates) that Robert was the son of Henry and Mary Anna Froelich. Unfortunetly, the date of birth given in the newspaper posting of this indenture was the date of their oldest son William. I have no further information on Robert at this time, but William went on to marry Alverta Welty. Based on the conflicting information, was it really William who was indentured and the paper had it wrong; or, was it really Robert had they had a wrong birth date (by two years)? Any help would be appreciated in solving this mystery or in gathering any information on the other siblings of Henry and Mary Anna Froelich: Robert (1874-MO or OH), Harry (1876 - MO), Clarence (1878-MO), Julius (1870-IN) or Edward (1868-MO). Thanks so much, Bobbi P Bobbi L. Pohlman

    3. I'm not the list owner (there may not be one) but I usually answer posts to the list. This seems to be a small list. I get a post every month or two. I suggest to everyone posting to stay on as a member. You won't be inundated by e-mail from it and who knows, the next post may connect with your family. There was another post not long ago that I didn't get a chance to answer. Sorry about that. I don't know about this family. I am wondering if they went to Ohio from Pa. There are several in Pa. and I think also in NY.. Mine is one of them, from Lancaster Co., Pa. 1. FRALICK--Lancaster PA

    3. I have an Emma Fralick who was born in Allensville, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania in October 1858. . She lived in Mifflin County and married William Hazlett of Allensville around 1876. I believe some of the family moved to Ohio. My Emma and William, however, moved to North Dakota in 1900 and lived there until they died. Emma, who is my great grandmother, told my mother that they had originally lived in Lancaster County, moved to Snyder County, and Bellefonte, before Allensville. I believe that Fralick was probably Froehlich originally. Other family names are Pecht, Crissman, Hassinger, and Wagner. Emma father was Samuel Fralick and she had a brother George who was the engineer on the last train (I don't know the name of it) to go through Johnstown in the famous Johnstown flood. George, the only son, had no children. Emma was the last of that line. She had two sisters, one named Laura. who married a Snowden. Someone in that family, I believe, moved to Costa Rica. Do we have a connection? The Pecht ancestors came to Pennsylvania as religious refugees. I don't know their religious affiliation. They probably came over around 1750.
