Catherine was the mother of my gggrandfather, William James Walker, who was born December 25, 1854 in Kennebic Twp, Frontenac County, Ontario (possibly Kingston, Ontario but I think its an error in the genealogy). I know nothing about her husband Daniel Walker other than that the couple may have been in Canada in 1871, and Catherine is still alive in 1901. looking for information on Johann Martin Froelich and Anna Margatetha Neiss. Thanks, Doraine
The second Froehlich/Hoffman Reunion will be Sunday, September 5, 2004, at the Charles Murray Brooking Park Concession Barn on US 25 North, just outside Georgetown, Scott County, Kentucky. The reunion is for the descendants of John & Catherina Froehlich and Charles Hoffman. Anyone interested in these families is welcome. The building will be open at 10:00 am for those who choose to come early. It is air conditioned, wheel chair accessible and a vehicle can pull up to the door. There is plenty of seating, a full kitchen with coolers for cold food and drinks. The meal will be potluck. Drinks and utensils will be provided. Donations will be taken to cover the rental of the building and the supplies. You may bring any item you wish to donate to the drawing for prizes. Please bring any old pictures and family histories you may be working on for others to see. Last year, everyone did not get around to see all the items others had, so bring them again even if you brought them before. If you have questions, please email me and I will try to get the answers for you. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Hello List Member, As the "List Mom" for this list, I have to let you know of the things that have been happening with Roots Web. It seems as though their server's have been down and that alot of post's are being held until their server's can be brought back online. Apparently this should take about a week to fully be restored and for post's to actually be posted to the list. Some list's are already back online but they are still suspecting the posting time for All lists to come back to be about a week. If you have written into the list but have not seen it posted, please be patient. If it still has not posted in a week then please write again as it could have been lost in their shuffle. The following is what is posted on the Rootsweb site, for those who have not seen it..: Mail Lists: 2004-07-31 http://helpdesk.rootsweb.com/ All list servers operational The remaining list server has been brought back on-line and we are currently putting mail through all lists servers. There is a backlog of mail to put through the server that has been out of action, and this will take the best part of a day. Please note that the mail will not be in chronological order as that will then take the better part of a week to get it distributed. Est. downtime: 1 day(s) I too have problems logging in and if there are those of you out there who are having problems "Unsubscribing" please just give it a little time and it will come through. If you need to contact me directly, please use the following e-mail address instead of posting to the list. Also, should you ever experience other problems with the lists please refer back to the help desk of Rootsweb, it could help you with the answer your question/problem. http://helpdesk.rootsweb.com/ Please do not post any messages reguarding this e-mail to the list as the list records it in their archives. Send any mail reguarding this e-mail directly to me. Thanks, Shirley Fergus List Mom shirleyf@intrstar.net
