Adolf was my great grandfather's eldest brother. My great grandfather was Henry F. Schrier/ Schreier and while I am aware of the spelling change, I have never been able to find out why. I don't worry about it since there are the Molyneaux on the other side of the family tree with their 14 variations, all the way to Mulnex/Mulnix,/Mulnox, and the Littles/Liddles/Lytels with too many variations to count. Name changing was a popular indoor sport in the 1800s. > I know very little about the Sullivan County Froelichs. My father > would never discuss them. Little about Sullivan County is on the web. I simply want to reconnect and make this branch of the family aware that we have carried them in the family records all these years and wish to know them. My sister, Carolyn, and I are in the midst of bringing the family trees up to date on both sides of the family, the Gould/Schriers of the Town of Hancock, N.Y., and the Coulter (orig. Coltherd)/Glendennings of the Town of Bovina, Delaware County, N.Y., a task which makes many relatives question our sanity. However, they can't wait for the results and their copy. > > > HENRY F. She lived in Vienna, Austria. She emmigrated to the USA around 1908 when she was around 4 years old (give or take a few years). She had a lot of brothers, maybe 12, all older. One of them was named Mordechia (he went by his yiddish name though... I think Mutty). After World War II, my grand mother could not make contact with any of her brothers. She used to keep in contact with Mutty. After many years of hoping and trying, she never found any of her brothers. I am looking for any possible family that may have lived.
