I have a report with lots of pictures and info about Carl (Charles) Froehlich from Plymouth, WI. His children moved the Milwaukee and changed the spelling. With the pix, the report is too big to e'mail, but if you send me a thumb drive over 1 G, I WILL COPY THE REPORT AND ALL THE PIX I have too. Feel free to email me first to see if you are part of this family or check on ancestry dot com... My tree is wengert2012a or similar. I saw your post and was wondering if you could tell me how I can look at your family tree? I don't have an Ancestry paid account. You mentioned your tree was public, but I don't know how to see it! My Grandmother was Margaret Louise Froelich from Daviess County, Kentucky. I have her father's name and his 5 brother's names. They were from Tell City,Indiana. I thought maybe I would see if you had any family I had! Thanks hope you don't mind me asking! Patty Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Doing genealogy is a lot of brain work, going back and forth, doing a lot of research. Thankfully, there are so many sites to gather info from. As I posted before, Missouri's death certificate archives is wonderful. Find a Grave has been a big help too. I haven't been on too much lately, but most likely will be w/ the colder weather. I didn't know what I was doing either. I basically started out with a list that a great aunt had down w/ our family. And after my dad died, I found a list of his mother's siblings and parents. You just start with what you know to be fact, and expand out from there. Start with yourself, your parents, in-laws, siblings, grandparents, great grandparents. A lot of times Ancestry will provide 'hints' - to the censuses, military records, directories, etc. You see familiar names listed, compare to what you have, and determine whether it belongs with your tree or not. I'm sure that I have a lot of stuff in my tree that is not accurate, but until I can find evidence to the contrary, I keep it in there. Dive in, and have fun!! If anyone wants a copy of George's record, contact me at ediek@wi.rr.com. I haven't been successful in finding George's marriage to Theresa Froelich. My Kassels married into the Dannemann family. How can I help you? Ancestry is great - does a lot of the research for you! I take it you've started your tree? As they say, its best to start with yourself, and work back, generation by generation. Missouri has a great website: http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/ I have found so much information here - it lists death certificates from 1910-1960. I have not been too active with my tree lately, but will be happy to help in any way I can! Connie Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. In a book called "Die Herzoger". It's a church book with list of parishioners. In that book I found: Harold James Froelich (born 8/13/1935) married Elizabeth Hammersmith. It also read that his second wife was Debra Link. Harold has a sister named: Barbara Christina, born 12/31/1944. She married Charles Burton Beery. She died in an auto accident on 1/5/1972. Harold's parents are: Frank J. Froelich (born 3/4/1902)(died 7/9/1978). Frank married Eleanor Schueler on 4/16/1934. Eleanor was born on 11/21/1903 and died 12/26/1991. Good luck.
