Frisch, 87, of Davenport died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at her home. A celebration life service will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Bentley Funeral Home in Durant. The Rev. Kurt Larson will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by vocalist and organist, Todd Frisch. Pallbearers are Scott Mehrens, Jason Mehrens, Todd Frisch, Mark Frisch, Jill Frisch, Randy Frisch, Carla Trujillo, and Sandra Christiansen. Honorary pallbearers are Judy Fick, Doug Schwarz, Todd Schwarz, Tiffany Walker, Erin Corwin, and Ian Corwin. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Durant Ambulance and to the Genesis Hospice VNA. Mrs. Frisch was born April 7, 1914, in Scott County, the daughter of Wilhelm and Bertha Meier Frahm. She married Carl H. Frisch Jan. 17, 1941, in Scott County. He preceded her in death March 24,1963. She was a housekeeper. She was a member of the Lutheran Faith and enjoyed all sports and playing cards. Survivors include a daughter, Carmella Mehrens and her husband, Gary, of Davenport; a son, Dennis Frisch and his wife, Judy, of Durant; two daughters-in-law, Sandi Frisch of Walcott and Linda Frisch of Emporia, Kan.; a sister, Marie Denahey of Davenport; a brother, Arnold Frahm of Pleasant Valley; eight grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sons, Brian Frisch Aug. 18, 1989, and Gary Frisch Jan. 14, 2000; a daughter, LaDon Christiansen July 25, 1981; a grandson, Mathew Frisch May 10, 1985; two sisters; and eight brothers.
