Mable Clark's application was submitted in 1942 and the Bible sent in by her when she obtained it in 1960, as she wanted her application to be correct. The DAR sent me more than the Bible record and one thing is a certified transcription of a letter from James French in Marshall Co., AL to his daughter, Love Ann Berry, written in 1861. And a narrative, from Mable Clark, of the French family which states in whose possession some other family bibles are.
