Below is a message that was send to the list in 2001 that I found. I can't remember the name of the sender and it isn't signed. This John is the son of the John who died in Montgomery Co., TN in 1796, (son of Samuel). I had mentioned to Judith when she sent me information on the settlers of Woodbridge, NJ that contained the name of Lisenby, that the Lisenbys married into the TN French family and they were from SC, also. There were, also, other names that are found in TN with our French lines, i.e., DUNN and BUNN. This suggests a connection for our Samuel to Woodbridge, NJ. and John French the Brick Mason.
