What were the common routes/trails in use from the NJ area to the area on the SC/NC border where our FRENCH's are found prior to the Revolutionary War? Was it via river & land through PA or VA? Did they sail down -landing on the SC coast before moving inland? Or maybe down to Onslow County, NC or maybe into Perquimans/Pasquotank counties NC just below the VA border? There was a fairly large Quaker group living in this area 1600-1700 timeframe. Does anyone know URL's that would show the migration trails?
