I assume he is the same Daniel that is listed in the 1790 U.S. Census, Beaufort County, Newbern District. It lists him and one slave. Did he remain in North Carolina or did he return to Connecticut? After trying to establish Lamberton as a town in NJ and being told by NJ libarians that it was either Lumberton or Lambertville I am delighted to find a specific reference to First Baptist Church of Trenton and Lamberton, Hunterdon Co., NJ.
