Hi Mike I came up against the same inconsistency with IGI. I do not believe that John of Woodbridge is from the Quaker group of French's. As I'm sure you remember my Richard used the Walpack, Sussex NJ Dutch church. I think it is his father, Richard at Oldwick in 1782 & 3 christening Ann and William at Zion Lutheran. I think but cannot prove that Selletje is his second wife, Ye widow Selletje remarried in 1797. I think first wife was Mercy North. I also think this is the same young ,Richard who turned himself in with John?Pipes Zerubabel North et al to the Essex Sheriff for counterfeiting in 1748. I think he is Richard B. French son of Richard, son of John. Again cant prove any of that. Just tendered as a possibility for you to ponder. Regards Dick French
